I think (like in most battle shounens) there won't be any significant progress concerning romance in this series. As long as Edelweiss aspect remains unresolved, he probably won't care about anything romance related. This might end with him returning the body or Takeru permenantly dying but i don't see him getting together with anyone other than the princes.

Yeah, as it could be related to a lot of things.
Like, maybe Isekai'ed Takeru is somehow related to the Orphan Takeru, maybe like a descendant or something, which is why when both of them died in different timeline, their high magic power allowed them to swap bodies.
