my guess is rather that the girl was actually another saintess and this girl was the ball of light that we see, which gained enough power to maintain an evolved form thanks to the staff which was on the ground
which would be why she can't go further than a certain distance

don't think I'd like it that much if it ends up being her reincarnation tbh

We don't know the exact cause, but we do know that she was essentially banished, alone, into the "wastelands". Considering they were essentially living/interacting as a family, that totally qualifies as a betrayal.

Edit: And now that I think about it, there is technically 4 or possibly 5 people in that flashback. We have the Ball of Light (Ch 77) that was watching. And we could possibly have a Nature Spirit/Analogue with the Tree/Flowers.

Love this fight. On one hand we got Cardinal, A force of nature fighting with all it got at every attack.
While Takeru, very calculating, using minimal efforts with crazy efficiency. Adopts super quick against his opponents style. Really exagarrates how many fights he has been through and his nature. It also puts a more depth to the fights where he just let all lose like against the demon queen, where he disregarded all defence and dodge to attack.
