@Legion499 The warnings are there for those who have severe trauma due to having experienced something like that abuse in their past. It's not a bad thing to at least warn those people that that's coming up so that they can decide to read on or not. If they aren't warned then they can relive those times... Anyways it's always nice to think of others and their own circumstances (and not look down upon others).

@Legion499 you can still have your point across without undermining people who still have the mentality of 5 (and yes they exist). It speaks about yourself who do not think of others. We all know that what is posted in mangadex do not remain only in mangadex. And who knows, children, even after careful blocking sites, can still access this content because there are hundreds of sites dedicated to this type of content (manga, manhwa, manhuas etc)

@Legion499 @Sarah2013 Some people are mentally adults but have a trigger temper of a Primeape and I have also seen enough truly moronic individuals who defy common sense on a daily basis that make me think "Paranoia is the right way to live." So basically if you are 'unsure'. Do it.

That being said, while I agree to the otherwise paranoid act of putting the trigger warning, the fact that they are probably going to read the thing (including the warning itself) anyway mean that the warning is going to be useless. Like...

"This has child abuse. Be car--" "ARRRGH TRIGGERED".

I mean, we are talking about people with trauma severe enough to trigger while they are reading manhwa. What's there to say that the word abuse itself won't trigger it?
Still do it though. Like I said, paranoia is the right way to live.

@Legion499 Come on there are tags for a reason. For people with PTSD, they can read the tags to avoid reading something that will trigger it. This warning is just for this chapter. They wouldn't be able to check otherwise. Dude just give a morsel of sympathy for them. As someone who has suffered with my fear share of PTSD that has been triggered by dumb tiny things, I was so happy to see people understood that I had trouble dealing with my trauma. I mean I felt like crying when I just saw hentai covers. THAT was how weak and vulnerable I was. I just want to ask for a little sympathy for people who have and are being abused.

Even so, is violence okay? Is hentai okay? Is it bad when somebody has a problem with it? I think you personally feel attacked that you like to see traumatic issues for entertainment and you are taking it out on them. Who knows? Maybe Gamer Gate got to you and all that controversy triggers you? Or maybe the media insulting violent video games and citing them as the cause of school shootings made you feel victimised. Well it could be that, or it could just be that you feel weak and insecure for another reason. Just please acknowledge that for the same reason you have such a dramatic reaction to these kinds of warnings, people get even more emotional and stressed out when they see abuse. I am going to sympathise with you, and I hope that you can sympathise with them.
