@Richman Not necessarily decided not to, just didn't decide to. They may just not know about MD or don't have a presence here yet. (I consider any group that still uploads soly to bato.to to likely just be out of the loop. bato.to had a long run after all before being sold off)

That is to say, they might not have uploaded here, but I don't think they have explicitly decided they do not want their translations here. Groups that are like that would create a group, claim it, and lock uploads.
They simply seem to not exist here, meaning any uploader/poweruploader may create the group and upload their chapters.
Just need to verify that they are an actual scanlation team, and aren't just ripping official English translations (if those exist)

@SirGiggles, bato.to is like mangadex.org and have certain translation teams that upload exclusively on there and there are 100s and 100s of manwha on there only available on their since its also a safer way to avoid a cease and desist order on manwha that are already licensed, if they were uploaded on mangadex they would get more traffic and suffer if they have theire translations posted on social media sites and would have to drop it. Theres manwha on there with great translations that have been continued on there when teams have dropped them on mangadex, thats why sometimes when a manwha has other language teams tons of chapters ahead of the english translation is because they dropped the project and were picked up by another team, and most of those picked up projects come from bato.to. Thats the full explanation, hope it helps

Having just caught up on the other site, I can safely say I wasn't expecting that.

@Titanfan548 Is it really still like magadex? I know it was, but tbh I have no clue if it still is after they sold out. The reason MD was created in the first place was bc the community was scared when bato.to was put up for sale that it would be bought by people like kiss managa. No clue what ended up happening afterwords though.
Considering how long bato.to ran by that guy, I consider it highly plausible that a good portion of the community is still uploading to and promoting it without knowledge that it was bought out.
Though they haven't been injecting any crap between chapters as far as I can tell, credit pages seem to still be there, and if they have any ads, my adblocker has no trouble removing them.... so I don't think it became the hellhole we all feared

@Titanfan548 @SirGiggles ok i dont know what you were trying to explain but it looks like you were talking about bato.to. basically bato.to uploads official translations by people who already bought it. its not scanlators though there are some. its mainly for uploading the official translations licensed by whatever company which is why so many dropped manhwa are found on there. they are not picked up again. they were dropped because there was an official translation and people upload the official translation on bato.to

@monoreposo there arent any ads. i dont know how it was before it got bought out (didnt even know that happened) but its still completely free and doesnt run like aggregator sites.

@rrrrrrr3 Yeah, it ran for like 5-10yrs by the same guy, who eventually ran out of time, money, and mostly... time to keep it up and running. Sold for alot.... and I mean alot

In general. everyone knew for certain bato.to was the best place to upload, until 3 years ago when our golden empire fell to pieces and we rebuilt it into what is now mangadex. Which is like bato.to was, except with a usable forum and comment section that mods don't have to lock down twice per week

@rrrrrrr3 there are manwhas uploaded on there with official translations but they also have the uploaded translation team counter parts, so make sure you know what your talking about before trying to correct someone, manwhas such as asmodian contract, villains mother, etc have both their official translation which are updated as soon as the original licensed site releases their chapters, however teams or even single TLs pick up series and upload their own translations by also promoting their translation sites they made or asking for donations via discord to continue purchasing and translating the raws of the manwhas they have interest in continuing
