Honestly same why can't they just wait until they die of old age and then collect the shells or just throw them in water and see what happens??? Eventually I figure a human will come out considering they still have a human particle around, so in the meantime why not do the most humane thing.
Oh yeah I forgot this is the moon everyone is a dickhead, right, right, my bad. I still can't believe how vapid most of the gems are when Phos is honestly trying to talk with them about something important.

@krei @a-tan The moonies said that as the generations go on, the admirabilis who cleanly deposit the gem particles into their shells are becoming less common, and the new feature of the younger admirabilis is that they're integrating gem dust into their own bodies, as well as being those that can't remove their shells ( presumably without the water from earth ).
I mean, stopping them from reproducing and waiting until they all die out is a feasible option for a race of immortals like the gems and the lunarians, but Phos has clearly gotten attached to them with his interactions with Wentricosus and her descendant. It doesn't help that he can understand them unlike any of the other gems and lunarians can. It's like spitting in the face of your dead friend's legacy. Wentricosus and her descendant said they're still hoping to reunite with their family on the moon, and bring them back to Earth.

This ch. made me realize that there aren't that many moral decisions in the series. Like, the gems hardly face any moral issues.
And now, phos is being put in front of a huge dilemma: terminate an entire species that trusts you for your past good deeds or give up on the promise for which you betrayed your family and left your life behind.
If anything, this feels like phos has been put on a position akin to Griffith's, and we all know how that went.

It's impressive how with every single chapter Phos get screwed even harder, without fail, props to the author, that's actually something hard to archive on such a long and constant basis.
Also, for those yapping about waiting for the admirabilis to die out to take their shells, what science-man said is that the admirabilis used to store the dust from the gems on their shells which were detachable, but now their shells are becoming part of their body, which means that dust form gems are now mixing with their genetic make up, and the dust is now passed on like genes, which means that as long as they keep reproducing, the dust is never really gonna leave their bodies until every single one of them dies out.

Poor Phos can't catch a break.Phos being put on the moral spot,then tries to explain what's happening to the rest of the gems,but they would rather watch Moonslut,I mean Cairngorm and Achmea's reality "love" show.Also,being such a science man,you'd think "Goatee" could go about breeding the gem particles out of the Admirabilis so the species doesn't go extinct but form some new mutation into another Admirabilis species that rejects gem particles.Even making it so memories are kept intact or even put back together.Yet,that'd take many generations if it can be done.Will Phos and the rest of the gems,along with Adamant,be willing to wait that long?
Maybe,I'm just getting my hopes up,and Phos will forever go thru the suffering.

Phos is supposedly aquiring the 7??? Or so gifts in buddhist terms, so here is wondering what else he will gain and for how long must he endure the bullshit. EDIT: just checked apparently he is missing one last gift and that one is Carmelian, whatever that may mean.
Someone please bring Padpa back, he seemed like the less retarded one among the current gems. I want to believe he could actually help Phos instead of watching some fuckers on tv like the others or mope all day.

That scene with the small admirabilis is so sad...
Phos is like riddled with ptsd and depression now, whereas Black (cairngorm) is having the time of their life lol.

I'm not sure that was a thing. There was less miserable Phos, but Phos always had something going on that wasn't really great. The happiest Phos may have ever been was probably before the series even started, I guess? Before the whole "Can't seem to find a suitable job for you" times, which was more or less the impetus for everything else that's happened since.
