The last standing gems are Euclase, who is now watching Phos marching at them with the army of Lunarians, and Jade and Cinnabar, who are with Sensei...Oh and Rutile with the unconscious Padparadscha I guess.

Either Phos will still continue the attack but Sensei disintergrate the Lunarians somehow, or after destroying all the gems in this chapter, Phos will just have the army pick up all the shattered gems and leave, so then Sensei will feel guilty for allowing this to happen. Bonus if this is where Phos gets the final replacement for their torso, completing the whole Seven Buddhist Treasure thing.

As for "universally liked", I think the schism between the Earth Gems and Moon Gems is evidence enough for how much it's worth to be "liked". Just look at Diamond's psychopathic apathy when she heard that the Earth gems broke Phos apart.
In case you missed it, the gems are literally soulless.

for 220 years it was all due to aechmea waiting for phos to be reassembled and get adamant to pray. My point isnt that phos has done nothing good. My point was that the gem society isnt inherently a bad/flawed system that requires destruction to create a happy ending. the gems on earth werent suffering and even brought in a gem that treated themselves as a leper for centuries into their fold. So that means the entire reasons why the gem had such a schism was due to the lunarian influence (both attacks and joining the lunarians)

Gems are a pure type of being due to their nature and being immortal. Bad or good matters less to them than being their ally or their enemy. Phos betrayed the earth gems by overtly joining the lunarians side and didnt do much to correct that viewpoint.

The big issue is existence is pain for lunarians. They do things to distract themselves but at the end they just want to die. The only way to die is if sensei prays. No attacks may have made the gems happy but the cost is the lunarian's chances at peace.
