Basically both Xuanli and Qingning are gone. The town is completely abandoned. It’s implied that Laojun had a falling out with Qingning. She made him make a vow to never leave a tower for 100 years. Also, he is currently stuck(?) in child form for reasons I can’t remember. But at least he has internet and manga lol. Here’s 2 episodes where some stuff is partially explained.

Some extra info. The kid in glasses keeps getting mistaken for Xuanli, but he never confirms it. The strongest human Laojun talks about in episode 12 is Wuxian, who is also the black cat’s master/shifu.

Now I'm actually stressed reading this 😭 I'm on chp 86 and everything is so cute and nice but now i know in the back of my mind that everything is probably going to go to shit very quickly 😓. Theres 96 chapters translated and there will be 130 chapters total accordibg to the wiki, so just over 30 chapters left for everything to go super wrong. Even the bit about healers never living long feels like ominous foreshadowing now! I thought it was just written in as a way to explain why they're so rare but now i know that she's nowhere near them in the main series despite training to become "an immortal" so she couldn't have died of old age. So what happened to her? What could have happened to make the town fall into disrepair, cause xuanli to never talk to laojun and make qingning disappear? Why does xuanli look so different and have a different name and use ice powers instead of fire?

I'm just waiting for the pin to drop at this point 😭.
