"Last update" in search respecting language filter

Is there an option to have the search order adjust to the language filter of your choice?
Whenever I use the search to check out the most recently updated titles in a genre I'm coming across series that have ended months, if not years ago, at the top of the search list because they've only just been recently translated into Russian/Spanish/etc.
It'd be nice if, say, having chosen an English filter the list would then order the search results by English releases, as opposed to just any release. Kinda weird opening up a title that says it was updated "2 days ago" only to find that its last English update was months ago.
Maybe there's some option I'm missing or maybe this feature hasn't been implemented yet?

@Digrig It's a "bug" with last updated timestamps that we need to fix. The last time we tried, it crashed the servers. No ETA on when we'll try to fix it again.
