I think the manga was about being in an art slump and thinking everything is wrong with yourself instead of taking a step back and realizing you're just in the wrong mindset at the time, the worst she got the darker her art became until it was just dark blobs but then the other girl came and gave her hope, gave her light both literally in that she's seen light through the hole in her apron and figured something out from it and figuratively, the light is hope, she's gotten hope back which will give light to her art again

I think she was in such a depressive funk that her literal vision was darkening. That made her see shadows that weren't there, shading far more than what was in reality.

That talk and that hole gave her a light that she recognized exists. And casting that light on things let her see the world as it is. No pressure, no comparison.

'young ppl have no passions or dreams' i mean, passion doesn't pay the bills, it's good her parents are supportive but idk how many go on to be a successful artist versus like being a freelancer/on a design team of some corporation versus like hosting an art expo themselves

'not til after 9' would be worrying unless she just like sends her money to stay in some nearby cafe/ buy a dinner for herself

not bad for a one shot i half expected the other art girl to do something to 'ruin' her drawings
