So the ending is that the encounter that she had with the Yankee ish girl helped solve her issue with her drawing after all this time or what?
I think the manga was about being in an art slump and thinking everything is wrong with yourself instead of taking a step back and realizing you're just in the wrong mindset at the time, the worst she got the darker her art became until it was just dark blobs but then the other girl came and gave her hope, gave her light both literally in that she's seen light through the hole in her apron and figured something out from it and figuratively, the light is hope, she's gotten hope back which will give light to her art again

I think she was in such a depressive funk that her literal vision was darkening. That made her see shadows that weren't there, shading far more than what was in reality.

That talk and that hole gave her a light that she recognized exists. And casting that light on things let her see the world as it is. No pressure, no comparison.

itsuki sensei sure loves bob cuts

'leave it there so i can throw it away later' should an art teacher really be saying that? bc she could've thrown it away herself if she didn't wanna hang onto it

'young ppl have no passions or dreams' i mean, passion doesn't pay the bills, it's good her parents are supportive but idk how many go on to be a successful artist versus like being a freelancer/on a design team of some corporation versus like hosting an art expo themselves

'not til after 9' would be worrying unless she just like sends her money to stay in some nearby cafe/ buy a dinner for herself

not bad for a one shot i half expected the other art girl to do something to 'ruin' her drawings

GL tag should be removed

maybe if it became a series she'd get with the gyaru but yeah maybe they added it outta habit b/c of who the artist is

Hello new Yuri, are you ready to be ready and analyzed? Barely cause I'm still working on my analysis skills? Great so am I, let's get into it...

Arts subjective, thou should take YouTube with a grain of salt as the best one can do is just work on the art yerself, so her being to hard on yerself

Ay yatsu speaking facts

Ah yes love me some girls inspiring one another, brilliant

All I got out of that tortoise and hare analogy is neither stops

Makes sense, if ya don't like it don't do it
Expectations man, mainly the self inflicted ones

That's an odd ending, is there more?
Dammit I need more now, it was aight and as self proclaimed Lord of Yuri I say on its own barely qualifies, the focus in on ones journey and not so much a relationship even considering nor are there the usual hints, but if you squint hard enough or are delusional enough, supposed there's something there

Have a nice day

Since when is having blonde hair and piercings equaling to be a youtuber? :questionblob:
They line in a small town, so with conservative values they would assume that someone with trendy and non conservative traits would be
A. From the City
B. Foreign
C. a famous person(ality) or
D. All of the above

The reason our MC thinks she's from YouTube is because 1. We can see that she's a YouTube watcher and is online a lot (her Twitter account and being hyper aware of her friend's acct) 2. The guy she watched had a kind of trendy look to him, so she, being a child with little exposure to others outside of online spaces, assumed she was part of that crowd too

The girl reminded the MC of her fundamental freedom—that it was ultimately her choice to tackle those struggles by pursuing art. MC was feeling trapped by her worries because she forgot why she was doing art in the first place, and by getting to seriously consider the prospect of quitting it and pursuing a different path, she rediscovered the sense of control and responsibility over her life that she lost, and gained the ability to do what she truly wanted again.

If life was actually a race, we'd only need the winners to survive to have a thriving society. But if you actually look outside you'll understand that everyone is needed, everyone can contribute, and intellectual diversity is the most important thing to value. I think this is a point the author believes in too; while the MC doesn't like to recognize it, she does have a special skill (sees well in the dark), and that talent causes her to have unique properties or "flaws" in her art, giving it a different appeal which both the Youtuber and the popular girl were able to recognize. It's definitely something she can leverage in the future to make interesting art once she gains a grasp of the usual conventions—"You should know the rules before you break them" and all that. But she's definitely not a loser; if she gets the right help and puts in the work she could become incredible in her own right.
