🤔 Peak meteor shower hours being taken that seriously on peak night didn't make much sense until the moonrise came up. Still not that bad with eyes adjusted in darker sky areas. Off-peak hours at the peak day for a major meteor shower is still lots of meteors compared to peaks of weaker showers. Exception: when the moon is almost directly over the meteor shower origin point which would be a predawn or sunset source anyhow (not the case here).
It's cool though. Just felt like kohai studied to sound smart to her crush, relying on general advice for people who aren't going to stare at the sky for hours. Plausible pop science that failed in contact with senpai's wonder.
And seriously senpai! Ignoring her underclassman's confession! When the girl all but set this up for her. I want more but honestly kohai's odds of getting a date are falling faster than the rate of visible meteors per hour. It'd end up a slice of life about roundabout rejections and factoids, not actual romance. Which is apparently fine with kohai so I'd like it but still.
