So she'll be going to 10 years in the future with adult Yamada. What does that mean for their future selves? She'll be the same age, but 10 years in the future.

I don't quite understand how they're gonna wrap this up nicely for both girls, but I guess we'll have to see.

So he knew she would fall, but didn't go with them to pull her up and then just jump down to avoid the fog. Makes sense... not.

Well, the future Yamada doesn't want to risk changing the past which will affect the future, so obviously he acts as how he remembered seeing 10 years ago. It's uncertainity afterward, which is why he came prepared.

I'm glad I skipped to the latest chapter. I was close to wasting a lot of time on this series. There's nothing more annoying to me than a long drawn out love triangle. Yuck. This series had a lot of redeeming features too. But I just can't. That long haired chick is annoying, not lovable. Just wanted to express my dissent. Feel free to disagree.

I would be happy if they followed this line:
Future Yamada probably got together with Imaise but they didn't last long because of the guilt of having left Kamiyama behind.
On this new timeline, they created Yamada and Imaise can live their lives without worries now that they know Kamiyama was saved.
And the Yamada from the future with an adult point of view will give the one who loved him the most the chance she deserved.

Also from Yamada's point of view in not letting anyone be a sacrifice for him, but sacrificing himself for others, what she did was the worst thing for him.

I wouldn't complain if the next 1~2 chapters would be endings.

The fact a part of the island didn't sink, in spite of all the signs and foreshadowing the whole thing was going down right then and there, was way too convenient ? And for Mr.Yamada to have also coincidentally hidden a bag right in a place that stayed above waters is, while not impossible, quite convenient too ?
But leaving these details aside which are needed for the plot : why ask her to go with him 10 years in the future, instead of looking for a fog that could return her home?
I understand that he comes from a timeline in which she is considered as dead, but wasn't his purpose in coming back to the island to save her? ... He wishes for her to live, but he still won't go as far as changing what happened in his 10 years by adding up a person which might influence his whole life and maybe other things...not like I don't understand, but they are acting as if she didn't have a life and a family waiting for her at home, despairing to see her again, or what impact it would have in the future if a person appeared as young as they were 10 years ago! (she is also way too carefree and happy too about the whole situation, but yeah...)
And then what? Go to a future in which Yamada and Chika are a couple?
The ending the author chose for Kamiyama has so many loopholes and loose ends it's ridiculous.
Ultimately, it might be best to simply be happy for her, being with the person she loves, no matter how long or short that time is on that island, and not think too hard about anything beyond that...

@draw2much you kind of have a messed up view of it because you skipped.

I hated Kamiyama at first too, but she actually proved herself to be way better than Chika. This manga had the main problem most love triangles have. The author tries so hard to make the second girl be a legitimate contender, the main one ends up not doing nearly as much and having way less character development. Which is why the whole “best girl never wins” thing is such a meme.

Um...but, what happened to Chika in the future...does she die and that's why he goes back into the past for her?
