I recall a past post quite a number of chapters back that he never meets back up with the Princess. Is that still true? This last chapter giving off vibes as if the mangaka wants to get them back together somehow. I mean, even the character early on in the manga when she left the island said himself that he wouldn't want to be together with her as he would most likely be nothing more then a concubine amongst who know how many others. Has the manga diverged from the source any so far?

The web novel and light novel have been on hiatus for over two years at this point and rather than even trying to meet up with Chris again, he goes on a cross-dressing spree while acting like a fake saint and also separates all of the current girls because he's so obsessed with returning the damn staff.

From checking out the progress of the web novel just now for the first time in years, I see that

after a 3.5 year hiatus from 2021-2024, 16 new chapters were released about a year ago. But ~10 months since the last release, so I suppose it's indeed on hiatus.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when the manga approaches the end of the source material... Maybe the author will come back and write a bit more to keep it going.

Also I'm sorry for Shiro, but he only had to suffer as much because he got stuck in only doing it with Mina once... So she had to take advantage as much as possible lmao. But really, he says he's going to enjoy the Isekai life and can't even accept the feelings of his harem-to-be? He "doesn't sleep with just anyone" but has already done it with people that he knew for less than a couple days, and ignores the ones that spent weeks or months with him and clearly care for him a lot? At this point I'm convinced that Shiro is just an idiot, and/or the author doesn't know how to write consistent and coherent characters. Which is a shame because this is clearly a character-driven story
