The thing with is, while he is often misguided by bad advice, he doesn't have bad intentions, only natural desires tat sometimes lead him to being a little selfish. If anything, his flaws make him more humann and give his actual good, selfless deeds more value.
I believe that even if Oakley realized Evans intentions, she would still like him.

Maybe I'm reaching here, but i'd say this manga has pretty good writing as far as comedy manga go.
Then again, most manga i read end up having terrible writing, so maybe I'm being biased.
