It's been a few years since I rad this, saw the end tag and went to read the final chapter. Wow, that's... certainly an ending. I get that it's more like "status quo" the manga, but that's still disappointing.

They’re currently doing the fantasy manga Dragemis in Weekly Shonen Sunday, though word on the street is it isn’t doing good in both sales and reception.

Anyway, I was spoiled about the ending before, and… yeah that’s an ending. The author definitely chickened out, but honestly even if Evans got into a relationship I don’t know if they could keep the misunderstanding train which ran the entire series going.

Solid 6.5/10. Some parts didn’t gel with me but I’ve seen worse

I think it would be relatively fine even if they just ended this on teasing them getting together for real, I didn't expect more anyway. This just felt like blueballing. Why not end at Evan confessing, expecting a rejection, and getting mutual "eeeh?" when they both realize the misunderstanding?
