Alcohol and a lighter are still plenty dangerous, particularly if it soaks into clothing and hair (even more so with really long hair like Song Li's) - she's lucky the attacker doesn't seem to have been trying to cause serious physical injury.

I wish there was an island or something where queer ppl could all go and live and not have to see or interact with cis straights
I know that's mostly joking, but consider the plight of all the queer children born in cis het families in that kind of world . . .

The kind of bigotry that Song Li and Hu LuoLuo have to deal with is very real, but it's also something that can be fought against pretty effectively - not easily or quickly, but with a lot of success over time. It is possible to make a world where no one cares if you're queer or straight or ace or trans or whatever, and while I sympathise with your feelings, I'd much rather fight to build that world.

God Song Li asking to stay the night just looks so pretty!!! I don't know how Luoluo didn't spontaneously combust in that moment. This entire chapter was so tender (after the scare was over) dare we hope for progress next chapfer?

Me as a cis straight: I mean what'd he say fuck me for?

Shitty scenario though, thank fuck it wasnt sulphuric acid, but that man gotta go...

You quoted a queer person entertaining an unrealistic fantasy of a place where we don't have to fear homophobic violence and discrimination. Should that really hurt your feelings more than the depiction of homophobic violence itself?

I wasnt being that deadass when I said that, at the end of the day, its obviously still a fucked thing to do, that hasnt changed at all, its more, 'damn, cis males gotta go? What'd I do lol.'

Nothing more to it really.
