After a few chapters it's really grinding my gears how the cousin lied about such an important thing for like no reason. She could've just interrupted them talking by asking about getting dinner or something but no "I'm gonna lie to my cousin's best friend about the most fragile part of their relationship" sounds like a great idea. I could've accepted it if they immediately told the truth, but it's a stupid plot point to drag on for any longer than a chapter.
