I had to reread that, because it was a little hard to understand what was going on at first. So they used each other's voice, so she chose her bae thinking she chose the teacher because bae was better even when using the teacher's voice.

I don’t think she was using the teacher’s voice. She was just voicing the character authentically. To the point she used an unfamiliar voice that was assumed to be the teacher since the other option sounded like her so much. She simply did the job straight up and earned the compliments.

The teacher tried to sound like her thinking that was what would get at least the fangirl’s vote due to their relationship.
