dude yesss!!

i actually was gonna type having no food but most manga's with dungeons like this one just make the MC eat at a inn then go in the dungeon and kill monsters without eating or drinking while in the dungeon but that is true yeah...

@blake77 well that takes one option off, but the one of lending the staff for a fee to the guild to level up their appraisers for a fee still looks to me like a good idea. Both parties get a benefit and a clear relationship.

@MRPANDOPOOL , the problem is with a characteristic of the dungeon, from chapter six of the webnovel,
objects touching the walls or ground for 30 minutes, if not touching a creature will be absorbed by the dungeon

The main problem with lending things is trust, I think the MC has some trust issues considering his past experiences.

That staff prob could have beat everyone around him but after seeing his skills i can say for certain that he made the right choice in selling it even though i hate that it happened. It would have just been stolen from him and used by a bad guy if he tried to make a team to get royalties off of healing people so its better to sell it to a good person.

tldr; OP Staff means fuck all if you're only skill is heal..

(I just hope it doesn't turn out later that one of the hidden stats on the staff is a effect/skill that could have been used to attack, cause if so the author done diddly fucked themselves..)

@blake77 so one shotting mid-tier mobs with a weapon that can easily take on the final boss was a good sell? Because he needed money for food and board? Because he couldn't go into the dungeon and slap a mob in one hit from something that made him close to a demigod in stat upgrades? Lets not forget about the human trash that would pull low-tier mobs on him (as if it wouldn't be welcomed when you over power the first quarter of the floors).

But lets be real, he wouldn't need to venture pass the first 2-3 floors for a stable income for a fresh start, which would probably be an hour or 2 of grinding (slapping mobs with an op weapon). The stats of that weapon alone made it more valuable than any equipment protection he will be able to afford. What ever the staff didn't provide in protection, his spells would have (which said spells would be greatly enhanced by the staff).

@GrimGriefer, So you expect him to use the only spell he has
Heal
to oneshot
goblins
with a staff that strengthens spells?

Or do you expect him to overpower mobs as a level 1 Healer, and you think the MC is an idiot for selling something he can easily get once he is of the suitable level. The same staff that when sold would allow him to live comfortable for years.

@blake77 I clearly said, multiple times, he would slap them around with an op weapon. His healing spell being the only thing he has is temporary. Slapping around the first floor mobs would be a simple matter for a weapon made for the top most floor. Before you talk about how a casting weapon can not be used as a bludgeoning tool, Let's remind our selves he is level 1 on the first floor with a weapon made from materials on the 90th floor. Everything will go splat in one hit easily for the first quarter of the dungeon. It's base physical damage must be easily a hundred times better than a beginner warriors weapon, let alone a casters weapon.

@GrimGriefer , an attack powerful enough to destroy the dragon from first chapter in a single strike would not matter if it cannot land. His stats mean that a group of monsters can easily kill him. MPK, while frowned upon, would not get you kicked out of the dungeon. There are also players who rob low level players of their items. Add the fact that healers aren't respected and are often exploited (since most healers skill in using their class is low and Off Tank attacks occur often). So selling the staff and having the money deposited in a personal Unrobable debit account is the better and rational action to take. Keeping the staff for personal use is a delusional act since he can't ensure that the staff won't be taken away from him.

Sure having the weapon of infinity +1 at the start of a game is nice, but it is of no use if it is robbed within 3 seconds at the start of the game.

In short, the staff is a powerful weapon, but he can't ensure that it won't be taken from him. That is why it is better for him to sell it for funds that cannot be stolen from him.

You can do so much with and OP staff in your possession than with money. 1st since there is reincarnation as far as we know there is no perma death for adventurers with status cards. Even if there is, as a gamer die grinding should be known to him. Go into the 1st floor and test what you can and can't do with the staff before deciding to sell it off.

If you can't dmg monsters with the staff by hitting them, then consider unarmed combat or joining a party as a temp healer with a mercenary as your guard. There are at least a hundred more efficient things a gamer would come up with than selling an OP end-game healer staff for a small amount of money (it would be worth way more than what he got).

amused that i don't see a comment talking about how he's such a godtier gamer that he solo'd a 100-level dungeon by controlling 5 charas at once. like how the fuck?

and why did his gear disappear only to leave him with noob rags?

@Wolvenworks He's manning the healer and using bot programs on the other 4 computers. The bots probably follow his orders through chat commands.

Is it me, or does the opening narration have a "people die if you kill them" level of redundancy in it?

Yeah its kinda dumb... like bruh I got no money but lets do this and that not to mention the MC sold his mains weapon because of some bullshit reasoning after talking about its materials.
I kinda thought I'd like it but it turned out to be stupid real fast.

I'm a bit confused and idk if it's because of the translation or the manga itself.

At one point he mentions that the stats displayed on the tablet were just like his main account, does that mean his main account was a level 1 with D- level stats?

And what the heck is that chest thing that he was talking about when he was asked about his staff?

This manga is not making much sense to me and doesn't seem very well thought out.

Forget the staff for a minute, I want to hear the conversation between the author and editor regarding how low cut the receptionist's top must be 🤣
