When someone being framed, you need evidence to clear your name. if u just talk & doing violence, no one gonna help you.
Have you been try to be in his place? do you use violence? or you trying other way, to prove you are worth?
Almost high guild can clear Shellcrab boss, its just another Floor50 RO MOBILE.
but if u clear Fire Dragon, where High Guild cant clear it, what you can say? Black mage clear because MC weapon. and its HEALER staff.

@anakskul You know about needing proof to clear his name? It would be difficult if the bitch reporter actually prepare a false victim and hired witnesses to frame him but that is not the case.
Amy is the supposed victim here just need to give counter statement to deny she ever been blackmailed by MC and what the witnesses saw was them joking in their party.
Get Garm also to give statement.
Also the guild staff present statement backed by Kamiyu as his party member and the guild leader.
And most importantly MC statement to deny the alleged accusation to him.

I had some discussions with @anakskul too, while I still don't think the public response in the story is rational at all, by stretching it to some degree somehow it still can be explained despite it still being unconvincing.
Currently, my logic is that, in that fictional world with a presumably medieval-inspired high fantasy society that has a different societal structure and system that basically mostly prioritize and worship strong/powerful people, MC a nobody white mage with a low social standing and poor public image is basically stripped of most rights and credibility, and without proper protocols like what we have in modern society, I guess most people in that fictional society would behave like how people in the past that got emotionally manipulated to carry out the witch hunt when the reputable and popular high-level Amy is said to be under blackmail. Basically, it means that their society doesn't have a proper justice system and the public doesn't really care about the validity/proof/evidence because they are emotionally motivated (like maybe many people just jump on the bandwagon too, similarly to our real-life outrage/cancel culture).
Honestly, if the whole public uproar was less exaggerated I'd find it more convincing, but I guess it's designed to be a plot motivation for MC to meet and recruit Kamiyu.
Maybe there are official revelations/explanations to be given in the story later, or maybe someone else could give a better logic but this is the best logic I could think of currently.
