The fact that it's was a contract to help him go through the dungeons because no one would party up with him.
It would be absurd if they were hired forever they still work for the Guild you can only hand hold so much, now he can look for a party since people may recognise his skill at this point.
@Izaya_Onisai
Just because you like violent video games, it doesn't mean you want to live a life of violence. Even one with no risk of permanent death.
Then again, "realistically", getting isekaied would provoke some kind of mental break down.
@Izaya_Onisai Tsutomu has made the point, repeatedly, that he doesn't like pain. It's the whole reason for his 'no dying' rule. Now tell me, exactly why should he be excited about being forced into a life where pain is pretty much unavoidable, when his previous life was peaceful and mostly pain-free?
I think the guild worker contract are mostly just like some modern RPG
'friends support' term where you can use it to gain helper but only usable until we got decent enough to do solo or forming a new party (or exp in normal game). Right? 🤔
@Izaya_Onisai the fact that there is no romance despite two female leads existing is far more realistic than many other stories. People don't randomly fall in love just by interacting with each other. And starting a relationship with a coworker (which is what they basically are) is usually a bad idea anyway.
It is great and refreshing to see female characters whose character development is not defined by them falling in love with the protagonist.
@SuppeBargeld "People don't randomly fall in love just by interacting with each other" does this mean you don't believe in "love at first sight"? Otherwise I agree with everything you said, love isnt what makes a woman better, perserverance and hard work is, just like any other human. Love may PROMOTE perserverence by giving them something to strive for but it isnt the ONLY thing, so manga like this are really nice.
I like the party but I'd also like to see Tsutomu doing some badass stuff on his own/with other people outside of the main dungeon. Excited to see where this goes!
