@LordoftheKeep To save money on scrapping vehicles, it used to be in Japan that people would just remove the number plates and leave the car. (Old cars being a bit like old houses, at least during the bubble era.)
In this case it seems to be an old school bus that was simply parked at the far end of a school that used to be more popular (town is probably on a decline). Maybe it wasn't needed due to that decline, or maybe it was broken and it was too expensive to repair (being an old brand). Since the door is apparently missing, I'd guess this bus was also (at least briefly) used as a source of spare parts for the other bus (assuming the school had two of them, once upon a time).

Pooping is done at work, I'd reckon. (Only five minutes away.) Emergency poop (like a bad stomach from eating strange stuff) would thus be a problem (hence her gratitude to the crow) but would probably be handled like a bear.
(Late evening or weekend poops can be handled at restaurants or bars, or anyplace with a clean public toilet accessible for a low cost. Public bathhouse is probably on that list as well.)
