Writing that much makes me think of another letter writer, but this one is a much happier experience.

No wonder she always knew he was hers. The aloof fella wrote back to thousands of love letters, probably with a pretty formal thank you letter too. She probably thought right here sealed the deal.

You think the other cops were side eyeing him during her youth? Probably a little.

Thanks for the chapter

I know that it's very likely not the case, but the fact that Itou returns her love letters on White Day with a letter of his own makes it seem like the latter letter is a love letter too. Which, given she's in elementary school and he's...well, not, makes it...

It feels like he should be putting the cuffs on himself here doesn’t it?
I know it's supposed to cute and innocent but do NOT exchange love letters with an Elementary schooler on VALENTINE'S DAY. 😭😭😭😭
This is the 1st chapter where I've kind of agreed with the grooming accusations that flooded the 1st few chapters
You guys are assuming that he wrote a love letter to her, when given his already demonstrated denseness and upstanding behavior, his letter was most certainly just a very professional "thank you" where he acts more or less like a school teacher giving advice and praise to a star student in their class in response to said student taking a great effort to demonstrate how much they respect and admire the teacher for what they've done to them.

Oh sure, she would see it as little to no different from an actual love letter, but most people wouldn't bat an eye.

Kind of sad he thought he was doing something cute to return her feelings (probably not romantic, more platonic than anything), but he chose to give her a letter in response to valentines during white day.

Which, although it has some funny parallels with obligation stuff you're given during valentine's...I mean, it was a reply to a box full of letters showing her affection. The optics are screwed from that alone, intentional or not.

This man is living textbook example of why sometimes being a kind, diligent person isn’t in your best interest. Bro is going be getting weird looks for the rest of his life whenever he’ll have to explain how he and wife met in the future. Like m he isn’t even trying to wane her off (granted, how in their right mind would’ve believed she’d hold on for 10+ years and follow him into the workplace but still).

Eh, if we’re still happily married then, I wouldn’t care at all. Imagine being 60 and other people tsk’ing at you for getting with your 50 year old wife after being nice to her when she was younger.
