This is the 1st chapter where I've kind of agreed with the grooming accusations that flooded the 1st few chapters

Instead of he grooming her, we get her "grooming?" him

It's a viable strategy for writing age gap-- make the adult so naive and/or incompetent that they're more likely to be groomed by a child, than the other way around.

The older the minor is, the more smoothly it goes down for the audience.
