i don't know if this is based on a real wrestler, but I was reminded of the von Erich boys and how most of them eventually ended up killing themselves. Kevin is the only one still living.

You can call me a pussy if you want, but I'm dropping this here. I know the MC is supposed to be a bonehead, but seeing him smile at Kevin dismissing the possibility of him going the same murderous route as his father felt disgusting. His dead mother and young sister didn't matter in the slightest, the main thing is his "strong will and resolve"? All that talk about not hurting others and then this? Fuck off.

I know its a manga and fantasy stuff but lol, samson's physique is completely impossible without roids, as is most of the characters on this manga. He's twice as big as the supposed steroid user! And also in real life, all of them use PEDs.

Uh, I don't know if that's a good message; let's chalk it up to the MC being a complicated person with unique ethics.

The whole point is that he's a morally gray character, and this is constantly hinted at and referenced throughout the manga. He certainly seems good, and he does good things, but that doesn't make him a good person necessarily. The mangaka also draws these sort of characters quite often in his other series. For a less extreme example, Samson is sort of like a diet Goku. As per Toriyama himself, Goku is not a good person. He just really likes fighting and getting stronger, and staying true to his ideals, and it just so happens that it usually results in the Earth getting saved. But if you look at what he's done, there's some questionable moments there as well.
