looking for a manhua (i think) with martial arts

I hope the bits and pieces that come to memory are of aid in finding out the name of this series.

So I can recall a chapter (don't know if it's the 1st or not) where the MC has trouble climbing up a flight of stairs on his way to some temple to pass some exam into the school.

The other students make fun of him due to his poor vitality or something, but along the way the MC meets this stranger that tells him if he can make it up the stairs he will teach him.
