I haven't read the novel but the first chapter seemed very confusing for me indeed after trying to read it twice, due to how rushed it is, i was checking out the older manga and it turned out that the MC had much backstory during the first chapter.

I get how the mistake of the first manga is overload of dialogue and information that it gives us and plus the artstyle that i didn't like that much compared to the remake, but i could say that the remake has presented far less information than needed in order to enjoy and understand the story.

(In short) LOTM Remake: 'Story-line' < 'Quality of art'

But my favorite part about it is how much the MC looks like Johnathan Joestar, the resemblance is so uncanny that i can't stop thinking about it... lol

Good that fans of the series are happy with this, but as someone who knows nothing about it, it just kinda sucks. The art is nice, but everything just seems to be happening for no explained reason and nobody's behavior is explained in any way.

MC suddenly appears in new world and new body, but is barely surprised and seemingly immediately understands everything about what happened, isn't shocked about instantly healing a gunshot wound to the head, knows how to do "a luck ritual" which does...something, magically contacts two people completely by chance by instantly knows how to manipulate the situation and reality to their advantage, two complete strangers instantly swear fealty to him....

I dunno, again it looks nice and there are aspects that seem interesting, but it just seems like yet another instant-power isekai except without even any character development or coherent plot.
