That would mean that there's one million per new person. A dense swarm of end humans could make up the mountain our boy needs to climb if that's the case.

Well from what we saw in first few chapters, I’m thinking they do respawn but they mutate into other forms (bet we eventually see ones so broken they become something like the woman who greeted them, notice how her scyth has end human decorating it).
