so like, how many fucking people are in both in this purgatory and also still conscious?

Like the endman transformation isn't instant right, it can take from what we've been told months to years to decades if you're good at managing your condition but also, how many people are at any one point in time choosing to forsake going to the afterlife for a chance at revival?

Especially considering the manager of this place said that time doesn't work the same way in the real world as it does here. the promise is very much that if you get to the top of the mountain you get revived to the moment you died.

Where are all these THOUSANDS of people coming from? How is this world being constantly supplied with that many people? Because it would need to be in order for this many people to be around and not have turned into endmen yet. Is every single person who dies in this world choosing purgatory?

And I know the answer is, the author didnt think about it, but like. how do you go from a group of a little over a dozen people at a time being told "yeah you can come back to life if you get to the top of that mountain" to full fledged cannibal end societies lmao.

Yeah, it started great and "believable" in the setting. Now it's just a random battle/power manga.

Well way more people die every day than you might think. Globally, and from all causes, it’s about 150,000. In Japan, where the story is presumably set, it’s about 3.5k per day.

The 6 year old character kind of established that anyone from any age can end up here. But so far we have only really seen characters who are either young or middle aged. Let’s say we’re looking at the 20-65 age range - that is approximately 48% of Japan’s demographic - which is shit for Japan because of the aging population and low birth rate but whatever, I’m here to be pedantic about a B tier manga. Japan’s pop of 124,500,000 x 0.48 is just over 60 million. Multiply that by the annual death rate listed on Statista for this age group - 101 per 100,000 cases - this age group has roughly 61k deaths per year in Japan. Divide that by 365 days per year and you geeeeeeet…

167. So, 167 age eligible people die in a single day to get thrown into this meat house. If we are assuming a steady rate, and taking a huge assumption that the city is like 10,000 people - that’s only two months of new arrivals for fodder.

Of course this all assumes that everyone is given the opportunity to pass up the boats. I’m of the opinion that later we’ll find out it was only wicked people or something that end up in situation in the first place.

Really don't like enhanced human became the norm. Made the surgeon guy irrelevant/nerfed. Not sure what direction they're going with this. The main characters are just powerless. Brawns don't seem to matter now. They'll be probably be blessed with op power soon.
