The title kinda made me think it was about something else... 
"Darkening" is like how much he dislikes her and the opposite is an affection meter.
Looks beautiful with a lot pretty costumes, characters and floral designs but there's a lot bullshit in the plot (in my opinion)

Didn't start the game? She wasn't even wearing the VR goggles when it happened.
Apparently Han Sheng (Han Mingyue) is a real dude who is kinda stuck in or doesn't wanna leave this game world and the game system which was f-ing with Xianyu the whole time (who is an ai but also his brother because same parents) was trying to help him by making him fall in love or something to get over his parents' death.
Why was it only the GM guy who told her about the thing being taken to court? Why didn't they ask her any questions even though she's the victim? You can't just walk into a courtroom, drop a pile of papers, say "actually this guy and I were kinda doing therapy and experiencing the latest tech and also I love him." and expect everything to work. That entire sequence was avoidable with a testimony.
What's up with her dad lifting her up by the collar after she woke up from being stuck in a VR game for like a year? How are these guys moving immediately after waking up?
The timeskip was definitely to make the age legal.
Ending feels like stuff just happened.
