I think they called the doctor "Dio" early on but that isn't his full name so I can understand her asking... not to mention it is probably awkward to ask for an introduction when he seems to poison or drug her when she enters his chamber.😅

@kathyclysm This is actually a very normal process of doing clinical trials for medications and it's done even today. Medications have to go through trials before it's perfected for public use, there's so much that could go wrong.

Dio didn't have much characterization in the first season, but his process of testing isn't torture nor harmful to Nina, and he does prioritize her safety. And it's been said many times in the manhwa that people around Nina have changed, so...

That panel of Nina in the hallway transitioning seamlessly into her past trauma is really cool. There aren't a lot of comics that actually take advantage of the long strip format.

@koalaa I think their complaint is legitimate. At least shrink the text so that it isn't so close to the size of the dialogue, if you're not willing to move them to the end of the chapter like other groups do.

@sheepizh "not a child" doesn't refer to her appearance, but probably the actual expression. people often use that phrase to express discontent about their situation, she feels dissatisfied that she is just getting upset (or feeling strong emotions) just because of a hallway, she isn't explicitly saying that the incident didn't give her a scare. but the clean-up of the aftermath has something to feel secure about, so why "must she feel scared at this moment"
usually children use the phrase because they want approval instead of being side lined because their incompetent. but it's also often used by adults who, like in Nina's case, need to play off words as a sort of encouragement to fulfill a daunting task.
but I think the very phrase is childish because how it expresses toxic independancy

Well yes and no, while that is now drug trials generally work, the big difference here is consent. She at no point volunteered to be a test subject, which means he is basically doing human experiments rather than proper scientific drug trials. And at that point, him now pretending he cares after forcefully subjecting her to everything from nasty rashes to poisons for which he did not know if his cures even worked in the first place is kinda.... weak.

Being an adult means Nina can rationalize the traumatic events. The Queen hurt her, not the hallway. Avoiding the Queen makes rational sense. Avoiding the hallway will let the trauma fester, and that would make any ptsd worse.
