China has strict laws when it comes to gay sex, and in some cases any kind of physical interaction like kissing, so websites are forced to censor scenes almost entirely.

Edit: Also the image when Doyeon thought about Morae makes me think their parents are re-married, with Doyeon from the father's side while Morae from the mother's, so they are actually step-sisters, not blood-related. Any chance Morae actually loves Doyeon lol.

And reading again, maybe you are right about Doyeon being adopted, cause it looks more like Morae's family was welcoming Doyeon. There is also the next panel, where it feels like the kids were wondering why Doyeon was chosen. Maybe they are her real siblings, that's why she already has surname and it's different from Morae's? Well, it's all guesing now, author better gives us answer lol.
in the 3rd chapter Doyeon said she was raised in a "welfare organization", like a children's home. I kept the literal translation because as of now (26 chapters in) this adopted stuff returns from time to time... and i didn't want to give it any interpretation, to avoid any mess. If the wording "welfare organization" is more confusing though, i might change it later lol
