The only manga I've ever read that's a 10/10. If you enjoy action, story, comedy, drama, great characters, thrilling fights, or talking lizards, you'll love this. Seriously, just read it. I have. Several times. And it just gets better every time.

That's quite an important read for young adult, it's like a bildungsroman seinen manga but there is way too much japanese religion and culture shit for god sake

That's the point isnt it? When you're young you get overly obsessed with fears of appearing cringe or chuuni. Teens get so obsessed with internet cringe culture, that they become afraid of actually enjoying themselves. Being an adult is about not being afraid to give a cool sounding name to your special attack.

Greatest manga i've ever read. It's felt ordinary but also have some charm in it. And the story is consistent about it's theme about growing up into adulthood.

And the romance is so good. Really it's not your generic Male trying to impress the female rather both side is balancing the feeling for each other come back and forth.

Fair warning for new readers, the best part about this manga is the LAST 10 chapters, before that the plot and everything else don't make much sense, it just about goes with the flow. The real question is is it worth reading through everything? Well, if you enjoy the character developments on the earlier chapters, then why not? Still worth a read if not but if you find it was cringe then you are safe to skip it, the story builds up from that cringe so you either hate it or love it. Overall I rate is manga 8/10, 9/10 for the last 10 chapters, 7/10 before that but it was a very solid read.

People seem to complain about this manga and I reread it to see if nostalgia was clouding my judgement, but nah. This manga is still so much fun.

This manga is a Seinen that feels like a Shounen most of the time. Decent feels, friendship oriented, overtones of maturity and growing up, mostly light-hearted, little bit of romance. You know the deal.

A fairly unique story, focus of the story isn't solely on the MC, action is decent, story is a little slow at times, wish there was a bit more romance, good character development, the mature moments it did have were done fairly well. It's alright for what it is.
7.5/10
If you are here looking for something fun and mostly lighthearted that hits your action, fantasy, romance buzzwords this is a pretty decent pick.
If you are here looking for the grittier more intense side of Seinen this may not be what you are looking for.

I picked the first volume at a second-hand book store without knowing it would later become one of my favorite manga. Not making an anime adaptation of this manga is one of the worst crimes one can commit. This was awesome.
