Yuuuuuup. The novel version makes it even more explicit. While Hiya has her soul trapped within her, she is essentially "living" inside of Hiya and can be interacted with by Hiya (including sexually).

Eh, her design isn't bad, i would take that one any day since is more alike to her LN design in the latests LN Volumes instead of the uggo small ears manga one, but a shame they picked Twig looking Flio instead of his Chad looking design from the LN, since Twig Flio is one of the things that always gonna annoy me with the manga, aside now of how much they skipped at this point

I just checked it out, none of the character designs look nearly as good. Looks like they tried to use the base of of other characters in the animation studio's archives, or something, just looks odd and in some scenes, the characters looked like they could be different characters. I know it was because of money, but why!?

All the non-demon races, including beastmen, live together in the lands that haven't yet been infected by demon farts.

Speaking of which, if a small group of demons living in an isolated mountain can produce enough toxic gas that a giant magic shield has to be put up to protect other places, then I don't think there's any good way to prevent future war between the demons and non-demons. Even if Flio makes a bunch of magic shields like this one, they could eventually break down, or the demon population might grow too large for the shields to deal with the quantity of gas. Then the only choices for the non-demons are once again to kill all the demons or die in the demon gas.

Eh...I thought basically all non humans = demons. How does a beastmen differ from a beast form demon like Fenris then?

As for the solution, it wouldnt be hard to just magic up a spell through 'research' by whats her name grand dark magician that just contains their toxic magic particles for the people who cant control it themselves. It clearly can be controlled, as shown by the more powerful demons, and theres a clear precedence of being able to manipulate it, as shown by the spell cast on Wyne.

Seems like there are beast demons and also non-demon beastmen. The distinction seems to be whether or not they produce malicium.

The MC looks kinda meh but works, but the FMC....... IT'S HORRIBLE, THEY MADE HER OVERLY CUTE,
I seriously think they forgot that she is supposed to be a beast that has killed tons of people, she's supposed to look fierce but a little bit cute like in the manga, not overly cute like in the anime
