Personally, I'd say that if there's an official english translation by a company that isn't taking the piss and simply Squatting, give it a pass.... for now...

Anime is tricky, given that the format, especially nowadays, is more of a speedrun of the plot so far. And skips a lot ..
(Moonlit Journey is an excellent example.. The manga is far behind the Anime, but the manga also gives background/detail to stuff that "just happens, swallow it as-is, peon!" in the anime.
This particular manga is pretty true to form in that respect as well....)

Ultimately, as an old fart who still remembers the Vagaries of 90's fansub/dubs on oft-copied and fuzzy videotapes and has learned the art of Patience and Disappointment...
If it's a good story, it's worth the re-read when eventually a tankoubon gets properly scanlated. Even if it's "old"and a year or two "after publication".
By that time everybody who had a commercial beef in the game should have been able to capitalise on their investment.

The tags say's sexual violence, is it a common thing or just the one off in the early chapters?

Afaik it’s a one off thing for one of the side characters and also one single panel from chapter one (isn’t explicit but still nasty). Beyond that unless there’s something else from the novels that’s it.
The protag has a murder boner for criminals so the scene in chapter one is “cut short”. Lol

Real weird for him to talk about holding a little girl hostage to use as a lab rat sacrificial test subject in human territory this girls sister is 100% going to suffer horrific abuse and saying he wants to create peace for both sides while throwing this girls sister to the wolves (humans) when quite frankly the only one that benefits is the queen and humanity but then again hes been rather biased towards the humans since the beginning wont be surprised if this girls sister ends up dead while shes being forcefully separated from her sister by the mc dude really coming off as a absurd evil tyrant forcing family apart and using a kid as a sacrificial hostage test subject and the other risking her life to spy against her will for his little coexistence project
