Well, doesnt he have like 999 in every stat? While its nothing compared to MC, it is the second highest of all humans. So him having a ridiculously high trapping skill isn't too unlikely.

Its probably is a skill which hardly anyone ever fully maxes out since its primarily used for food gathering. And since the better demon king was actually pretty competent at his job, he often avoided sending his troops into human traps, so humanity probably never managed to increase their trapping skills past trapping some simple wildlife to maybe a horse or neutral monster at best.

Maybe Trapping is like one of those skills that just scale ridiculously crazy the higher its level?

Like, a level 1 can maybe trap a mouse.
A level 3 can only trap small woodland creatures, some pond fish, and a few species of small birds.
A level 5 can trap bears and moose.
A level 7 can trap dumb humans, huge ocean/lake creatures, and lower tier demons and monsters (mob creatures).
Level 9 let's you trap intelligent humans and intelligent / mid tier demons and monsters (bosses).
And at maximum level, it let's your traps at least partially work to fully work on anything whose level number is below your combined base stat total.

If it were something like that, then it makes sense why everyone is falling into then since all his base stats are so abnormally high.
