It seems that eyeball is mostly using the kid to hang around and corrupt nearby adults, including her mom. Hopefully that's all and we won't need pepper spray.

You know... I tried reading the serialized version of this... and I simply couldn't get into it.

The story is basic, so to speak, but the art (and I mean, design, storyboarding, composition, and style) of this version elevates the story so much.

Katou-sensei simply has an art style that greatly enhances even the silliest moments and brings fort the full potential of the sad ones too.

and yeah, full agree with your other comment. The original is great due to the contrast between the serious looking characters and their silly antics. The serialization is like a silly omake in contrast. Not bad in itself, but it just doesn't have what made the original great.
