This manga is going great. We're seeing his life unfold into what he is now.
Next chapter on June 13. I'll try to release the translated chapter in 24 hours next time.

Thank you so much for the chapter!!!

So it has been made officially clear that this is an autobiography.
Shuzo's previous stories have mostly been glimpses into aspects of himself and his past, with Blood on the Tracks being revealed by this work to have been essentially a highly dramatized version of his upbringing as well as a possible alternate future for himself.

A sense of lonliness and alienation permeates all his work, but I hope that he sees how many peope can sympathize or identify with his intimate suffering to the point he can make a living off their skillful portrayal that he isn't alone.

Binge read it some days ago and man Oshimi's series always hit me. I often feel like wishing to go back to my teenage years and my dreams are often of the teenage me with my old friends.
Definitely continuing this. Thanks for the translation!

Man, his family rejected her. I know it's about timing, but still, poor her :(
Anyway, how was the reception of Avant Garde Yumeko back then? Would Oshimi-sensei consider it as a hit?

Thanks a lot for the update!

oh yeah, definitely it's a hit for him.
though people considered it weird and interesting back then. (I don't have the sales numbers but you could guess it did some sales)
also it was back in the time when he was being the 'weird comedy- drama' story writer type of thing

Ugh I feel so many things whenever I read this manga. The face of Shuuzo's brother without eyes. As if he doesn't remember him anymore in that poor state (He doesn't want to, as well.)
I sense I'm going to cry so much in a few chapters..
