So that's the frog. The anime showed it in the ED but never introduced it.

Incidentally, maybe it's also the special attack "sunrise" arrow. If so it's an ironic name for something so toxic...

That said, the "golden tree frog" is not poisonous. Did the author/translator mistook it with the "golden poison frog"?

According to the cv of this vol, we may have a sis-com situation.

@Evron and neither Mikan's henshin scene(1)... the perfect hook for a second season if you ask me... there is the team she and Momo fought along when they saved the world too...

In another note @Fusang ... Michael was romanized as Mikaeru or Maikaeru (2)? Though depending on the manga both seem to be accepted... Mi-ka (mi-ka-n -> orange) + ka-e-ru (frog) = Mi-ka-e-ru (the little thing has a leaf sprouting from it's head)... and it fits Metatron angelic theme to boot! Though the later wish he was that punnable...

(1) Damn you Mandela's effect! I'm sure it didn't happen. Though a rewatch just to check isn't a bad idea now...

(2) I think I saw Maikeru in some instances too... So popular so little compromise with a spelling...

@Fusang thanks!

And then I learn that Mikan's birthday is November 3rd (Juu(1) ichi(1) gatsu(month) Mi(3) ka(day) -> Ii Mikan no Hi -> Nice Orange Day)...

Is there a pun with the Nanakusa-gayu too? The wiki page explains about how the 7 herbs (that vary a lot form region to region) are good at dispelling curses and attracting good luck... and why the January 7th day be when all the other 'Sekku' are March 3rd (Hinamatsuri), May 5th (Tango/Kodomo no Hi), July 7th (Tanabata) and September 9th (This one is a ? to me)... since January 1st is already New Year (Oshougatsu)...

I like researching birthdays (and puns) but unlike Calendar Man (and the Joker) I'm really bad at it and always missing critical info... You see I don't get September 28th (Yuko) or March 25th (Momo) too...
