And Hon-san is finally here! And she is a complete smallfry! Seriously they could have just talked it out with her, she is actually pretty sensible. But noooo, Mikan had to shoot her and Riko had to go all murderfox. Ugh. Bunch of idiots.

Ogura continues to be the deus ex machina of this series. She literally solves every problem (even if her unwillingness is hilarious). Also gotta love how Lilith is terrified of actual battle and acts way more casual.
If Shamiko & Ogura hadn't interfered, Momo and Mikan would have had to fight Riko, which probably would have destroyed the appartment. They most likely would have knocked her out, but it's not worth destroying their home, so thankfully Ogura had a collateral free solution. Manager always takes the hits.

I actually like that Itou retroactively explains in a later chapter that Momo could have dodged the magic blocking drug if she hadn't been in the middle of changing her transformation form from the ground up. She couldnt tansform quickly enough due to that. This proves that Momo is quicker than anyone else in that room at full capacity. Mikan just always gets flustered at close range though, so I guess that's why she couldn't dodge. Either way the "Momo is useless" nonsense is not true. The explanation is there.

I do love how literally everyone loves Momo's smile and wants to see it. Your girlfriend sure is popular Shamiko~

Lilith is getting used to being a normal person... she might actually be the best person amongst them... I mean... all she does is help people and get treated horribly by most of them. While living a highly impoverished life.

Another secret of the barrier revealed, though stuff like this should have been said a long time ago if Ogura always knew.

A really big fan of the screech sound that comes with Shamiko telepathy, she can stun really powerful demons and magical girls with it, I'm glad she's getting powers that don't depend on her powerlevel to be effective. Ogura also better give her those mana-short cicuiting elixirs for future use in case of emergencies. Shamiko is at her best when she can enter dreams, so putting them to sleep whenever she wants is really useful.

I love Momo's smile of pure despair when she confirms that she knows the fox loves to trick people, she certainly knows a lot about it.

Those things would do more friendly fire than anything and a serious enemy could easily dodge them.
Also her telepathy scream is basically no better than her just screaming really loudly into a mic for real. Minus the fact that you can't cover your ears. But it was really just a 2 second distraction at best.

I can't stress enough how none of these are real fights lol

Mikan is too trigger happy. Scary, like Lilith thought while serving as tactical talk device... Well, Ogura is a lot scarier with her magical inventions (Call me intrigued too about what the barrier is for her exactly)

The mental screech was particularly effective on the fox, as expected I guess... And Shamiko's shell form was given good use...

Shamiko does make a good boss, charisma is all she needs. She can borrow all else, brains included.

The freaking fish familiar does not read the mood (or is ironically as trollish as Lico). I guess there are not many like Metako who (nearly) always uses in context the one thing he can say.

Also, poor manager, always drawing the short stick. But with some luck, the seal made by such an airhead is not too hard to break.

Honestly, I am kinda on new girl's side. Sure, her method of solving the problem isn't very good, but Lico putting mind altering characteristics into her food never sat well with me either.

@BugDemon And I can't stress enough how real fights are out of the question in this manga, so it's good she's getting useful stuff for the kind of fights that actually happen here.

She can put to sleep Momo and Mikan for all I care, eventually Shamiko will be able to solve all the problems by herself, even without Ogura.

Because there are no real fights, these kinds of confrontations will not happen repeatedly.
Her "useful stuff" is support level at best and will get her killed in an actual fight, so she has to leave the heavy lifting to everyone else.
If she accidentally set her allies asleep and the enemy dodges, she is dead.
Shamiko can't solve shit on her own and never will. That's not how this story works or how Shamiko's power set works. Teamwork and diplomacy are the name of the game.

@BugDemon You don't have to clarify how Shamiko powers work, we all know she's at her strongest in dreams, so putting them to sleep is the path to solve anything by herself. The only "heavylifting" she has to do is lift her whatever wand in a dream.

And actual fights aren't happening, you know this, so when these confrontations happen, regardless of how often they do, she now has useful stuff to deal with them. And because they aren't real fights whatever she's targeting is never dodging, so don't even bring that possibility.
