It's interesting to see how the "freakishly large reserves of energy" trope usually applied to the protag is instead applied to one of the supporting characters. And honestly it feels like it might recontextualize why she never took to magic as easily as her sister; her output is insane. Actually controlling it well enough to achieve the desired results is probably a monumental task in itself.

Gun witch lady is very perceptive to have recognized this about Mugi off of just one spell. Desscaras probably didn't notice because her life depends on controlling and educating the half-feral wild child that is the first male witch in existence.
