We did see her brother bite her shoulder. But yeah she is the strongest witch for a reason. I find it interesting that she was the one to acquire Octo instead of Ichi but it was a pretty good choice to let us keep a pretty compelling Magij around without giving Ichi a power that was kind of a big step up from where he currently is. Desscaras was already overtuned for stuff and is mostly around in a guidance role to watch Ichi grow at the moment anyway so her firepower going up doesn't change anything.
