nah theyre in cahoots with world hater, men sticking togetherthey cant see the forest for the trees with world hater, but i also feel like "its tradition" was the excuse Chun (and all men) kept hearing when they tried to join the witches association and now he just reusing it to be extra petty
At most Ichi will go with them temporarily (this will be mainly for lore and world building expansion purposes), but there is no way that Ichi —who has seen first hand what the world hater majik is capable of— would permanently join an organisation that has zero intention of stopping him.oh no, they're gonna poach Ichi using his connection
"Is it done via magic?" (I'd say yes, but if they mean 'It's done via Majik' then...yea.)"Our only duty is to prevent crimes done via magic."
"...how about global extinction?"
That first justification might not work, but when you're also trying to poach one of the people who are working towards y'know, preventing the apocalypse, kinda throws any real justification out the window. As infuriating as it is to see someone reply "No." to working together to stop a world ending threat, I kind of see where he's coming from. A regulatory agency getting chummy with those they're supposed to police would inevitably raise eyebrows and lower public trust. Also, I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that his men are trained to combat other humans, not majik. I can also understand wanting Ichi to join them. While he is a witch, he's also a unique specimen. Having him close would both help keep him in check and allow them to tap the previously unavailable power of majik to help counter other witches.
