Hmm, I'm a little disappointed it wasn't held up in the air for a bit what she was really like. My first thought was to distrust the witch hunters, but she's obviously a psycho like they said.

So I 100% believe that Ichi will body this girl after a somewhat drawn out battle, and THAT'S when they'll ask him to join the Magikeepers. They want to be sure that he can actually handle himself against another human as well has he does against Majiks, because some people can find that hard to stomach. Ichi also don't seem like the type that's ever actually killed another person before (We may find out that's not true mind you lol), so he could have mild conflicting emotions when put into a fight of life or death against another person.
This is absolutely a test. That said, I think I see a fun little compromise where Ichi gets one of those cool Magikeeper weapons to defend against evil witches, but continues to be a Witch full time. It makes sense that a close range wild boy like Ichi would get a cool anti-majik weapon to just body the more problematic opponents he'll be facing. I mean, he can't keep letting Uroro take over his body after all.

I don't think the magikeepers would hold a capture KILL the mass murderer evil witch that we haven't be able to capture ourselves and might be as dangerous as the top level magiks, as an entry level test

To be fair, they didn't directly ask him to go after her. I think Chun will spin the fight as a test to Moneygold after the fact. He'll likely point out that Ichi is a natural born Magikeeper with his ability to detect bloodlust and react on instinct and such, and that he belongs with them. Granted, I still don't see Ichi leaving Desscaras or his friends anytime soon, but I could absolutely imagine Minakata joining Team Desscaras as a compromise to help deal with the evil witches.

That's all if they don't give Ichi a Magikeeper weapon of his own. I'm thinking probably a dagger or knife all things considered.
