I feel like we've got this very disposable lady rushing in out of nowhere to show off how cool that other guy is. I'm not super invested in whatever is going on right now, something's a bit off.

Considering it's the first time since I've started reading, it's not so bad I guess.

Yeah I think it's all but confirmed she's being controlled atp, that little mark instantly changing her target and demeanor, plus the look in her eyes as it activated? No way she isn't

2 backstory dumps in a single chapter? Amadoro's design is a mess. Sunglasses, feather jacket, leather chaps, and scales(?) on her chin. Is it supposed to be a cowgirl aesthetic? Glamrock? But the gun she gets is a chain gun, that doesn't fit. What does ribbon candy have to do with guns? Is the magazine belt supposed to be a ribbon? Also that is one lazy majick design. You're just going cover a bunch of generic gun barrels in a frilly dress and call it a day? There's actual artisanry in the forging and adornments of gun barrels and handles. Nope, a completely unadorned gun for our confused looking witch. If the point was that she's garrish and mismatched, then at least the gun should look that way too.
