Nah, dead means dead and Riko is pretty much alive, even if her soul's origins are somewhat strange.

I don't think it's about White Whistle. It's connection in general, White Whistle is a physical manifestation of this connection. And alternative for Mitty would be an eternal imprisonment in a mutilated body, so they definitely done a right thing.

Nanachi made/found something that was intended for Riko's use and keep it in the bottom of the bag, the manga dosent explain wath is it, but Reg feeling "some wriggling around" is making people think she cut her legs, which dosent make that much sense to me with how Nanachis recovery was working.
I could be wrong but possibly she made/found a relic that was one unique use that could recover any wound in a similar way the cube that was use to carry Riko's body when she was stillborn. Yatarmar (the tall man) is very concerned about how well Nanachi has recovered even when he said that even after 30hrs she would need absolute rest (and possible implied she would be in the same state she was at the star of the chapter), so probably she has shortened her lifespan or is now fused to the relic

I like the bit of storytelling/character writing that whatever Nanachi used on themself with that bag was made with the full expectation that Riko would become injured enough to need Reg to carry her down. Really hammers home their particular mix of jaded pragmatism and earnest romantic sentimentality.

it stands to reason that could be it. What this chapter mentioned:
•a plate (made/intended for Riko)
•the state of the body (even with incredible vitality)
•her decision
•IT'S THICKER THAN MY ARM!! (sorry, that's been on my mind after the read lol)

anyways, afaik in this manga limbs can be replaced or "traded" in some circumstances, but none as direct as to be worth cutting them for recovery. I still wouldn't rule out the possibility if they went the route of "halving" her so that she is easier to carry (which might be in line with the author expressing their several fetishes, Acrotomophilia would just be one more added to the list). The fact that Reg noticed her wounds aren't really closed might mean they gave her something for the swelling and just decided to roll with it, carrying her around all patched up but still nowhere near a state where she can move by herself. Since it was intended for Riko, perhaps it was some sort of "last resource" if she got heavily wounded, given Riko is the most vulnerable in the whole party. From all of that the one "sure" thing is that Nanachi is all but healed, and very likely running on her last legs (no pun intended) to try and push even a step further (seriously, no pun intended) in their journey.

It would be a funny callback if somehow Nanachi had a whole plate of the water mushrooms used to treat Riko's arm growing in a plate meant for culture of those and that's the "miracle" that let her skip absolute rest after the 30 hour mark. The only way to know for sure would be if future chapters outright revealed or gave further hints as to what exactly happened.

Tsukushi fucked up by actually putting his progress in his stream titles. Now I know he could do bi-monthly if he wanted to. Once he finishes a volume he takes a break for the rest of the year. Also things are going to get rough, the twins hard carried the last two fights. Unless she pulls out some new bullshit Srajo probably needs the gang as much as the gang needs them.

to be fair, the last fights REALLY haven't been kind to the delvers. It's either an enemy that can hit from so far distant you normally won't even see them or a creature that can fight with full freedom of maneuver across all vector planes flying around. I'd imagine the next one will at least be one that can be fought close combat, because if not then as you mentioned the only ranged moves they have are the twins bullshit-spamming or Reg's incinerator, not the best future prospect.

it's sad that I can't ever really recommend the manga or the anime to A N Y O N E, because there is no way in hell they would believe me when I say that I like it for the interesting world building, unique characters and mistery. The only thing they will see is shota, loli, fetish and FBI, OPEN UP. There is a lot of that as well, undeniably.

Good question, I'd say given she is afflicted with the curse of ascension, the abyss so far considers her alive enough xD.

Mitty being Nanachi's white whistle is probably bad, unless someone can blow Mitty from the afterlife and reach Nanachi remotely, that means Nanachi will have no power up for the foreseeable future. But my guess is that it's not something so literal and it was just Phruska saying "Nanachi was special for Mitty just like you are for me, Riko" or something like that.
