I've noticed that the artist draws the MC, way too often, posing in a way that is overtly feminine - it just looks crazy awkward.
They also have a bit of a problem making their panel to panel moments coherent, often jumping the 'camera' around in inane ways, or skipping large swaths of time with no indication; though it wasn't as bad as it has been in other chapters this time around.
Edit:
Alright, since I have a bunch of people giving me the confused reaction, I'll give some quick examples from the chapters I read when catching up:
- Awkwardly Feminine Pose: This chapter, Page 11, Top Right Panel -
Note how his knees are pointed inward, how his hips are emphasised, his hands are behind his back... it just looks very odd and awkward. It wouldn't look so strange on a female character, but it does for a male character, because it's a rather effeminate pose.
- Incoherent Panel to Panel Moments: Chapter 5, From the Beginning to Page 11 -
Their conversation as they're just sitting there eating feels very strange to read, as if the camera is just constantly spinning around them, it's also rather hard to even place where the characters are in relation to each other, as panels will show them sitting by themselves, then suddenly with someone right next to them, then alone again, all within the same moment.
- Odd Time Jumps: Chapter 5, Page 11 (ELEVEN, AGAIN!?) to Page 13 -
Where we jump from the present, to two panels for the past, to the present again, to the future where they're finally moving. Even though the flash back uses the classic visual indicator of a black page to indicate memories, there's something very sudden about the way it's done that makes it feel very confusing.
Add to this the jump forward in time on the very next page, and it just feels like a mess.
There's more examples there, even in those chapters, but those were the first to come to mind and I can't be bothered looking more than this, haha.
I'll also say that I had noticed these issues earlier in the comic as well, before catching up - so this reading session only reinforced these opinions, rather than the opinions suddenly forming now or for this chapter.
