Zero stops ragnarock before it crash into the planet, after that all connect is lost with him, the last pickure is half of Zero broken helmet lieing in the dust next to some crased part of ragnarock indicatink that he didn't survive

There was a similar premise of a giant space station crashing down and the only way to save everyone on the surface is up to the MC to get to the site in space, in Megaman Zero 4, his loved ones stared up at the sky waiting for his return as the meteor showers continued to rain down. In the end, the world is safe, the sky is clear, but the person who protected everything did not come back.
