Nanoha and Fate were doing work when they were 10.....
and Hayate is the same age as Nanoha and Fate. I'm interested to see how Reinforce is this big so soon. I thought it took a few years to get big from her small form. Although... I guess 3 years /could've/ been enough time......

However, I'm unsure whether or not this will be the same story as the forthcoming anime. Nanoha looks the same as the picture. Which means we'll get "middle school" NanoFate.

Good first chapter, with probably the most interesting setting of a Nanoha installment to date, and also very good art.
Seems like they're definitely following the movies' continuity and diverging from the original timeline, which is fine, and it's nice to see Nanoha and Hayate back again, but I hope they address why Hayate looks much older, and it's not a Chrono-type shenanigan again.
Also, it's just one chapter, but I already miss Fate. I hope she joins the case soon and our favorite magical girl couple gets to spend a lot of time together.

The twitter account has been posting profiles. Hayate (and Rein) are making themselves look older to "facilitate smooth interactions with people outside the Bureau".

So I imagine it's so people from that world interacting with Exceeds don't look down on her and probably to also stop them from thinking nobody's taking things seriously by sending 3 13 year olds to solve their problem.
