Am I the only one who thinks this is weird? Obviously this is a volume release which means that the scanlator has bought the digital volume online and not only has he bought it, but this is also a high quality professional translation with the SFX and prose. The translator obviously put alot of work and effort in this. This must have taken a long time to do after all. And yet, not only has there been no communication on the forums, they always release 2-3 days after blue noir blues and picked the manga at the same time. And those translations must take alot of time to do so aligning the schedule must be difficult.

Obviously grateful for the release but still puzzling to think about what's happening behind the scenes.

The font choices for the end-of-chapter extras and quality matching the official release so closely would really make me think this is the official release, if it weren't for the SFX being done different. In my paper copy of volume 7 most of the small SFX have their translations done alongside the JP SFX, not redrawn and replaced like in this chapter.

It's still a bit suspicious that somebody would release only chapters from volume 8 of this series, at this quality bar, with those particular style choices. Guess we'll know for sure when the official volume 8 drops.

hello! thank you everyone for reading!

as a newbie, i found replying in the forums to be too intimidating at first. but with some encouragement from others, i found the courage to post! i’m sorry for the silence up until now.

i hope it is okay to upload the volume release alongside the monthly release. i am new to the scanlation community, so i sincerely apologize if i am stepping on any toes. this started as a personal project only shared with family and friends, but after much persuading, i decided to upload it online.

i am very flattered by the comments comparing the level of polish to an official translation. you are all too kind! i tried very hard to create a version that showed how much care i have for the series, even though it’s still not perfect. i researched the fonts so that i could replicate the official English volumes exactly, maybe too exactly…

i had a lot of free time in the past two months, so i was able to scanlate fairly quickly, but i expect this will slow down soon (esp. for 38, it is very long). i hope to complete everything before May, even though it’s ambitious!

No worries. The translation quality is really really good and feels akin to an official release. The prose was beautifully done and the SFX was good.

Just a heads up that it's considered good manners to give up a heads up to the initial scanlation group so that they can focus on other series as this was taken. This espescially causes confusion as the initial scanlation group isn't sure if you plan to continue the series or this is a one off and you will drop it midway leaving them to pick up the slack. This is more so in this series where there hasn't been a scanlation for years and since Magus is a wordy series, few scanlators are willing to pick it up.

You wanna race? it's on! lol but I'd love to know where you're getting the raw scans, I use rawkuma but certain panels and credit pages seem to be missing compared to yours

This version of chapter 36 only has 28 pages and is incomplete, despite also containing the volume extras at the end; compared to the other version which is 44 pages.

I think the spirit that resides in Uira is probably one of the three great spirits of the Trine grimoires.

I know of a site called
rawotaku(dot)com(slash)read(slash)図書館の大魔術師(dash)raw
Btw there's also a site you can use to check for raw manga sites which is
if you click on the dropdown menu that says 'Any' and go down to 'Raws' you'll get all the sites that have raws
